First Party Tour : great success on our second edition

Why a First Party Tour?
The collection of behavioral data on digital platforms is facing numerous challenges. Privacy regulations give users the choice of whether to share their data, digital giants are limiting third-party cookies while protecting their own ecosystems, and users themselves are seeking to shield themselves from advertising pressure through tools like ad blockers.
All of this points to the need for a more thoughtful, less intrusive data collection approach that respects user choices. This is the path Commanders Act has chosen in developing the latest version of its technological foundation: Platform X, which has shown significant results in both the quality and quantity of data collected.
This complex landscape raises many questions among digital professionals, and it became clear to us that creating a space for exchange and discussion with our experts would be beneficial to help surface best practices and share them broadly. And nothing is more effective than an in-person meeting to exchange ideas. That’s how the First Party Tour came into being.
Topics Covered During This Second Edition
After a first edition focused on server-side data collection, we wanted to broaden the conversation to include the benefits of first-party data, the only viable path forward as third-party cookies disappear.
Four main topics were covered:
- Our analysis of Google’s decision on third-party cookies
- First-party data: the new cornerstone of your digital assets
- New identities, new identifiers
- Server-side collection and personal data protection
According to feedback from more than 100 participants across the four sessions of this fall edition, the First Party Tour helped participants better understand the issues at stake, identify best practices, and get expert insights on sector-specific challenges.A Third Edition Dedicated to Media Optimization – Coming Late January 2025
Given the undeniable success of the event, we’ve decided to continue holding the First Party Tours in France and to expand them internationally.
The third edition of the First Party Tour France will take place in late January / early February in the same four cities (Lille, Bordeaux, Lyon, and Paris), focusing on the theme of media optimization in a cookieless world. Registration opens in early December, but you can already express your interest by email.
The First Party Tour is also happening in Italy and Germany:
- Italy: Milan on November 5, 2024; Rome on November 6; and Naples on November 7
- Germany: Cologne on January 21, 2025; Munich on January 22; and Berlin on January 23
