Game manufacturer Ravensburger backs Commanders Act

TagCommander offers dynamic tag management with a substantial range of features, including GDPR compliance

Munich, October 16, 2018 – Commanders Act, a European provider of enterprise solutions for tag, data and customer journey management, has won Ravensburger as a new customer. This traditional German company is now using Commanders Act’s tag management solution to collect and activate its customers’ movement and behaviour data then forward it to various analytics and marketing systems.

Within its new tag management programme, Ravensburger attaches particular importance to integrating tracking and profiling tags into digital experiences, collecting performance data via different channels and developing the ability to react dynamically to new tag requirements in a business that is greatly affected by seasonal trends. Substantially more people visit the game manufacturer’s online shops in the pre-Christmas period between October and December, in particular. Another important factor for Ravensburger is compliance with the GDPR, along with a large range of features, easy handling, flexibility and multi-channel tracking.

“We are very much looking forward to working with Ravensburger to take decisive steps forward in terms of digitisation and tag management,” says Michael Froment, CEO and co-founder of Commanders Act. “Ravensburger is a showpiece company: the name is familiar to every child and every adult.”

Ravensburger has been in existence for 135 years. There have been numerous changes over this period, and the Ravensburger group has usually reacted swiftly to them. This also applies to digitisation: four teams working hand-in-hand to ensure successful operations and ongoing further development.

The classic range can be purchased in Germany, Austria, France and the USA via the company’s own online shops.

“Several million customers visit our websites every year”, says Max Meyer, System Engineer for e-Business at Ravensburger. “For our complex and wide-ranging offering, we need a simple and reliable solution in terms of tag management.” After Commanders Act was awarded the contract, the biggest challenge was the extremely tight implementation time, which amounted to just a few weeks. “In this regard, the competent, fast and friendly contacts at Commanders Act were a great help. In addition to compliance with the GDPR, we have been impressed by the clear, intuitive and technically stable solution,” says Meyer.

In online marketing, tag management has become a must to keep track of every marketing channel and every budget. Companies save a great deal of time and money by automatically delivering tags. Without tag management, each tag must be individually installed and expanded. TagCommander allows you to make changes to tags quickly and easily without the expensive expertise of IT specialists. This enables marketing managers to conveniently use different data sources to implement new, cross-channel measures.
